Walk-in Clinics for COVID and Flu Boosters to Begin on the Isle of Man
Manx Care is set to offer walk-in sessions for COVID booster shots and flu vaccinations to vulnerable individuals across the Isle of Man.
Eligible groups include those over 65, individuals under 65 in clinical risk categories (such as pregnant women), and care home residents, who will all be offered both vaccines.
The first clinic will take place at Noble’s vaccination hub at Noble’s Hospital in Douglas from 10:00 to 14:00 GMT.
Additional sessions are scheduled for late January, with clinics in Peel, Ramsey, and Castletown. The schedule includes:
- 24 January at Morton Hall, Castletown
- 29 January at St Paul’s Church Hall, Ramsey
- 30 January at St Patrick’s Court care home, Peel
People aged 18-64 living with someone who is immunosuppressed, as well as those who are the primary caregivers for an elderly or disabled person, are also eligible for the flu jab at these clinics.
Manx Care has also stated that individuals who prefer to book their appointment in advance can do so by contacting the vaccination team. Additionally, frontline health and social care workers interested in receiving the vaccines should reach out to the team to schedule their appointments.
