Tragic Death of Filipina Wife in Slovenia: Husband in Custody After Fatal Incident

According to reports from Slovenia, 30-year-old Slovenian Mitja Kocjančič allegedly killed his Filipina wife, Marvil Facturan-Kocjančič, inside their apartment in Bled just seven days after she arrived in the country.

The couple got engaged on July 16, 2024, and married later that same year. Marvil arrived in Slovenia on December 22 to spend the holidays with her husband, marking her first time celebrating in the country.

Mitja had shared happy posts on social media with captions like “Life is good!” and “Best Christmas so far,” along with photos of Marvil and his family.

Tragically, Marvil’s lifeless body was discovered inside their apartment on Sunday. Neighbors reportedly heard screams but did not call the authorities. After the incident, Mitja was taken to a psychiatric ward. It was revealed that Marvil had previously suffered bruises before being fatally stabbed.

Mitja, a motivational speaker focusing on mental health and obesity awareness, had publicly shared his struggles with mental health in the past, claiming he had overcome them to inspire others.

Marvil’s family is now seeking justice for her death. Netizens expressed outrage, with some commenting, “You thought you were lucky marrying a foreigner, only for it to lead to your death!”
